Selection
How do I narrow down which film grade I need?
Start with the constraint that cannot move. For thermoforming that is forming depth — measure the die first, because depth eliminates most grades immediately (F1127 stops at 15 mm, 15309 reaches 100 mm). For barrier packs it is your shelf-life target, which points to an OTR figure. For lidding it is how the pack opens — peelable by hand or permanently sealed. Once that constraint fixes a family, thickness and optics are secondary choices within it.
Which grades survive retort sterilization?
Two groups. For lidding, the EO-RCPP easy-peel films F4531, F45A5 and F45A7 plus the permanent-seal F4513 are rated 121–130°C. For forming webs, F2235, F2237 and 153B2 carry a Retort CPP layer and can go into the retort after forming. Plain nylon and EVOH forming films are not retort grades — if the pack is sterilized, the retort layer is not optional.
Which films are compatible with gamma sterilization?
The nylon medical family: F2624-M, F2703, F2615-M and F2606-M accept both E.O. and gamma. The MPP/PE grades F4538 and F4539 are specified for E.O. only. If your sterilization route may change, or different markets use different processes, the dual-compatible nylon grades avoid re-qualifying a second film.
Two grades look identical on thickness — how do I tell them apart?
Read the property that differs, not the gauge. F2606 and F2606-M are both 150 μm but only the -M grade is a medical film; F1201 at 45 μm blocks oxygen better than F1257 at 55 μm because barrier follows the EVOH layer rather than total thickness; and F1302, F1355 and F1307 share an OTR of 2.6 while their moisture barrier ranges from 6.5 to 3.7. Specify from the measured property your application depends on.
Samples & Ordering
Can I get a free sample?
Yes. Tell us the grade you're considering, your forming depth or seal conditions, and what you're packing, and we'll arrange a sample roll for trials on your own line. If you're unsure which grade fits, describe the application instead and our engineers will propose candidates rather than asking you to choose blind.
What is the minimum order quantity?
MOQ varies by product line, width and structure, so we don't publish a single figure — a standard-width grade in a mature line orders very differently from a custom structure or a newly listed grade. Send the grade and your target width, length and volume and we'll confirm the actual MOQ for that specification. Where an MOQ would be uneconomic for a trial, ask about sample rolls first.
What are typical lead times and shipping terms?
Standard lead time runs about 3–5 weeks depending on order volume, width and whether the structure is stock or custom. We ship worldwide from Nantou, Taiwan under standard Incoterms — FOB, CIF and others — and can quote to your destination port. If you have a fixed launch date, tell us early: scheduling around it is easier than compressing production later.
Can width, length or thickness be customized?
Width and length are made to order as standard. Thickness and structure can also be tailored — our R&D team regularly adjusts gauge or layer configuration to a customer's forming depth, seal window or barrier requirement. Custom structures carry their own MOQ and development lead time, so raise them at the specification stage rather than after tooling is fixed.
Quality & Documentation
What certifications does Intlpak hold?
Production runs under ISO 9001 quality management in a GMP clean-room environment, with ISO 22000 and HACCP food-safety certification and full raw-material traceability. All products undergo annual safety checks. Certificates are available on request for your supplier qualification file.
Some product pages show dashes instead of data — why?
Because we don't publish figures we haven't measured. Grades such as F1645, F3131, F3137 and F4408 are listed in the official catalogue but do not yet have a released technical data sheet, so their tables show dashes and cite a same-family grade separately as reference only. Current measured data for those grades is available directly from our engineering team — we would rather mark a value as unpublished than let an estimate reach your specification document.
Are the published values guaranteed specifications?
No — technical data sheet figures are representative or measured values, not guaranteed values, and are stated as such on every product page. They describe typical performance under the listed test standard and conditions. For contractual specifications, agree tolerances with our engineering team against your own acceptance criteria.
