F1127 (NLB #80) is built around an EVOH barrier core and runs as the sealing film on continuous automatic forming vacuum lines; once laminated with PET or OPP it completes a full high oxygen-barrier bag structure. At 80μm it delivers the formability, twist resistance, and pinhole resistance needed for reliable vacuum seals, with the transparency and gloss that keep packed products looking clean on shelf.

F1127 runs 80 μm — how do I choose between it and the 139/150 μm grades?
Forming depth is the dividing line. F1127 is rated to 15 mm — shallow trays. 15N01 (139 μm) covers 10–30 mm; F1154 (150 μm) reaches 40–50 mm. Barrier improves alongside gauge — OTR falls from 0.8 to 0.5 to 0.31 cc/m²·24h. Measure your die depth first: depth picks the grade, barrier comes along with it.
Is OTR 0.8 enough barrier for vacuum-packed fresh meat?
0.8 cc/m²·24h (ISO 14663-2, 20°C, 65% RH) sits firmly in high-barrier territory — combined with vacuum or MAP gas flushing it supports normal chilled and frozen shelf life for beef, pork, poultry and seafood. For longer shelf life or highly oxygen-sensitive products, move up to 15N01 (0.5) or F1154 (0.31). Actual shelf life must be validated against your own product and cold chain.
Can F1127 still form if my die is deeper than 15 mm?
Not recommended. 15 mm is the rated forming depth; past that the film over-stretches at the corners and you risk thinning, wrinkling and pinholes. Switch grade instead — 15N01 handles 10–30 mm and F1154 handles 40–50 mm. Both carry higher MD tensile modulus (5000 and 6400 kg/cm² against F1127's 4400), which is what deep draw requires.

Why isn't F1127's 10% haze the lowest in the series?
Gauge is the trade-off. The 60 μm grade in the series measures 7% haze; at 80 μm F1127 rises to 10% — still well under F1154 at 15% and 15N01 at 20%. Among the grades that actually form a tray, F1127 is the clearest and glossiest, which shows on shelf for sliced ham, jerky and fresh meat.
