F3131 is the 43μm grade in a new PP/PE Lamination Film line, positioned for disposable food containers that need grease and water resistance. It sits alongside F3137 (70μm) as the two gauges currently listed in this line.

F3131 and F3137 both serve disposable containers — 43 or 70 μm?
It comes down to how much mechanical stress the container takes. F3131 at 43 μm suits ordinary takeout boxes and bakery packaging; F3137 at 70 μm is for containers needing structural strength, added rigidity or larger portions. Grease and water resistance are the same in both — gauge buys stiffness and durability.
Will F3131's grease resistance handle curry and fried food?
That is precisely what it is specified for. The PP/PE lamination structure provides grease and water resistance for fried items, curries and high-fat dishes, preventing the oil penetration that softens containers or causes leakage. Actual performance still depends on food temperature, contact time and the base substrate, so test with your real product.
Is F3131 microwave-safe?
It is positioned for microwave-ready meal trays and convenience food packaging. Microwave suitability, though, is a property of the finished container — the laminated board or substrate, container geometry and heating conditions all matter, not the film alone. How does F3131 differ from the TPX-PP lamination films?
Different objectives. F3131 targets grease- and water-resistant lamination for disposable containers, while TPX-PP films such as F4403 target molded fiber containers with plastic reduction of up to 85% and dual-ovenable heating. If your goal is an ESG plastic-reduction target, the TPX-PP line is the relevant one.
