A Deep-Draw Gauge for Bulkier Cuts

F2606 is the 150μm grade in Intlpak's NL series, engineered for a 40–50mm forming depth — enough cavity for whole cuts, larger portions, and bone-in items that shallower gauges cannot form cleanly without stress-whitening or pinholing. Alongside its added yield and break strength, it carries the same corona-treated NY surface as the mid-gauge grades for reliable lamination bonding.

Where F2606 Is Used

  • 1 Deep-draw vacuum packaging film for refrigerated and frozen food, 40–50mm forming depth
  • 2 Whole cuts and larger portions of beef, chicken, pork, and seafood
  • 3 Whole ham, bone-in bacon joints, whole duck, and other bulky processed meats
  • 4 Multi-piece or family-pack meat and seafood portions needing extra cavity volume
  • 5 Deep-draw sealing/forming film on continuous automatic vacuum thermoforming lines

Why F2606 Performs

Deep 40–50mm forming depth — engineered for whole cuts and bulkier portions that need real cavity depth.
Highest yield strength in the family — 180/170 kg/cm² MD/TD yield point resists deformation while stretching into deep cavities.
Corona-treated NY surface — reliable ink adhesion and lamination bonding for high-volume production.
Good gas barrier for extended shelf-life — supports the longer distribution windows that bulkier, higher-value cuts often need.
Laminates for a full vacuum bag — combines with PET or OPP film to complete a vacuum-packaging structure.
Part of a full gauge family — the same NL series scales from 50μm sealing film up to 262μm for deep-draw forming.

Storage Notice

Avoid exposure to direct light, wind, and rain — store under appropriate conditions. Prevent products from slipping from high places, being polluted, or being impacted during handling.

Quality & Certification

Manufactured under ISO 9001 quality management and GMP clean-room production, with ISO 22000 & HACCP food-safety certification. All products undergo annual safety checks.

Common Questions

Questions About F2606

F2606 covers 40–50 mm and F2647 covers 60–70 mm — is there a gap?

There is: nothing standard sits between 50 and 60 mm. F2606 (150 μm) stops at 50 mm and F2647 (180 μm) begins at 60 mm. If your tooling falls in that 10 mm window, send the die drawing and product geometry so our engineers can advise which grade to extend or how to adjust forming conditions.

Is F2606 the same film as F2606-M?

No — same 150 μm gauge, different purpose. F2606 is for food vacuum packaging; F2606-M is a medical device forming base film compatible with E.O. and gamma sterilization, rated 30–50 mm. Always order by the full part number: the two are not interchangeable.

Drawing to 50 mm — is F2606's elongation sufficient?

Yes, though note the directional split. Elongation is 510%/560%, with TD roughly 50 points above MD, so the web stretches more readily across the web than along it. For elongated deep trays whose principal draw falls in MD, trial on the actual tooling and check corner wall thickness before committing.

Which face of F2606 takes print?

The NY face is corona treated for printing or lamination. As a bottom web, that face carries printed information or an additional reinforcing laminate, while the sealing face is left untreated to preserve seal behaviour. Confirm treated face and winding direction at order stage.

At 12.5% haze, will contents still show through a deep tray?

Contours and colour read clearly enough, though not as crisply as with the shallow grades — cavity walls inevitably haze further as they draw. On the numbers F2606 is already ahead of F2647 at 15% and 15309 at 20%. Where appearance drives sales, put the clarity requirement on the top web and let the bottom web prioritise forming.
