High-Clarity, High-Barrier Coextrusion Film
F1201 (EVE #45) uses an EVOH core for oxygen barrier and fragrance retention, in a structure that uses less material overall than a foil laminate. At 45μm it sits between the thinner F1249 and the heavier 55–60μm grades — the mid-weight choice when a stronger web is needed without moving up to the family's highest barrier tier.

Questions About F1201
Where does F1201 sit among the four PE/EVOH/PE grades?
Mid-weight. At 45 μm it falls between F1249 (40 μm) and the 55–60 μm F1257 and F1256 , while its OTR of 0.9 cc/m²·24h approaches the family's best of 0.65 at a gauge and cost still in the lower band. When you need stronger barrier without adding thickness, F1201 is usually the efficient step.
F1201 is thinner than F1257 yet blocks oxygen better — how?
Barrier follows the EVOH layer's thickness and ratio, not total gauge. F1201's OTR of 0.9 beats the thicker F1257 (55 μm, 1.3). Specify from the OTR figure rather than inferring barrier from overall thickness — this is the most common misreading in the family.
Why is F1201's moisture barrier the weakest of the four?
EVOH is hydrophilic: it excels at oxygen and gives ground on moisture, and each formulation balances the two differently. F1201's WVTR is 14 g/m²·24h against F1256 at 10.5 and F1257 at 10. If your product fears moisture more than oxidation, select from the WVTR column instead — F1201 may not be the right answer.
What pack formats suit F1201?
Printable, further-laminatable flexible structures across food, medical care, cosmetics and hygienic cleaning products. In fresh protein it is used mainly for Modified Atmosphere Packaging of beef, pork, poultry, seafood and produce, where the EVOH core holds the gas mix and retains aroma.
F1201 has the family's lowest haze at 4.2% — how visible is that?
Against F1249 at 4.8% the difference is marginal to the eye; against F1256 at 10.4% it is obvious. Where clarity sells the pack, F1201 offers the best balance in this family — the clearest optics at 4.2% combined with genuinely strong barrier at 0.9.
