Questions About F3137
F3137 is 70 μm, 27 μm more than F3131 — what does that add?
Rigidity and durability. F3131 at 43 μm suits ordinary takeout packaging, while F3137 serves heavy-duty foodservice containers, larger portions, and microwave trays whose design calls for extra film stiffness. Grease and water resistance are identical; gauge is the only difference.
Which applications actually require F3137?
Containers carrying more load or handled more roughly — large-portion delivery, stacked bento distribution, soups and braised dishes with heavier contents. These see compression and movement in transit, where 43 μm may not hold shape. For dry or light meals, F3131 is sufficient and cheaper.
Is F3137's grease and water resistance better than the thinner grade's?
No difference. Both properties come from the PP/PE materials rather than thickness, and the catalogue lists both grades as having them. Added gauge improves mechanical behaviour — tear resistance, shape retention, load capacity — while grease barrier itself does not scale with thickness.
Why is most of F3137's specification table blank?
This line is newly listed in the official catalogue (Ver. EN260327-CAT) and its measured mechanical data is not yet in a published technical data sheet. Confirmed today are the 70 μm gauge plus grease and water resistance; yield and break strength, elongation and haze remain to be measured, and we do not populate them with estimates. Formal data is available from our engineering team.
Can F3137 be compared with the TPX-PP line on plastic reduction?
It can't — different purposes. F3137 is a functional grease- and water-resistant lamination film, not a plastic-reduction product. For plastic-use targets, evaluate the TPX-PP lamination films ( F4407 , F4403 ) or the TPX-MFC molded fiber container, whose plastic content is just 10.75% and which is designed specifically for that objective.
